Carmen Electra, the American model and actress, has reportedly called off her engagement to former Korn guitarist Rob Patterson and signed up for Fox's new reality dating show 'The Choice', according to Life and Style magazine.
A source close to the couple revealed, "It's off.She hasn't been wearing her ring for a while, but they're good friends and it's been really hard for them to fully separate". Strangely, the pair have decided to remain housemates, despite cooling their romance. The source added, "They're more like roommates. They don't share a bedroom anymore and they sleep in separate parts of her house". The news came on the same day that 'The Choice' announced the line-up for its first season. The show will feature non-celebs pitching themselves for the chance to date stars such as Joe Jonas, Paul D, Rob Kardashian and Carmen herself. An insider revealed, "Carmen's really nervous about getting back into the dating pool, so keeping Rob around makes her feel less anxious about being single. It's not like they'll get back together. The romance part is dead. They're done".
The couple got engaged on Carmen's 36th birthday in Las Vegas on April 20, 2008. She recently made a brief appearance on UK reality show 'Britain's Got Talent', standing in for the absent AMANDA HOLDEN.
