Rocker Carlos Santana has cancelled a concert in Christchurch, New Zealand as recovery efforts continue following last month's (Feb11) devastating earthquake.
The guitarist and his band were due to play at the CBS Canterbury Arena on 22 March (11) but the gig has been called off as a result of the tremor, which left thousands homeless and claimed around 200 lives.
Promoter Michael Chugg tells fans Santana sends his thoughts to the people of Christchurch and hopes to return to the area soon.
The Smooth hitmaker is still scheduled to perform at the Vector Arena in Auckland on 20 March (11).
