British rocker Carl Barat hopes his father doesn't read his autobiography - or this story - because The Libertines star has never officially told his dad he stole his favourite leather jacket.
The coat - once Barat's most treasured possession - has since been stolen from him at a concert in Leeds, England, and so he couldn't return it to his father if he wanted to.
He says, "It was a biker jacket, but it was an odd colour because it had started off red and my father had tried to dye it black.
"I don't even know if my dad knows I'd taken the jacket, which is another reason for him not to read my book."
