Race Trailer

Race follows the life of athlete Jesse Owens and more specifically his athletic career as he embarked on his journey to the 1936 Olympics. Jesse was fast on the track, he constantly beat his competition and when he began training with Ohio State University coach Larry Snyder, he was pinned to be the best of the best. One of the major problems that faced him was that the 1932 games were set to take place in Germany which was ruled by the Nazis.

Being a black athlete, Jesse often faced discrimination and when he finally gained a place on the Olympic field team, Jesse was put under pressure by some of the community to send a message to the Nazi regime and equally a message of support to show solidarity with the oppressed people of Germany.

Jesse had to find a way to fulfil his dream and represent himself, what he stands for and to also win a medal for the people of USA who are counting on him to 'beat those Nazis' who viewed African Americans as inferior beings.

'Game Of Thrones' Stuns Audiences With Season 5's Episode 9 [Spoilers]

George R. R. Martin David Benioff Stephen Dillane Iwan Rheon Carice Van Houten Emilia Clarke Game Of Thrones

HBO's 'Game Of Thrones' has been getting a lot of criticism this year for it's massively dramatic departures from the book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire', upon which the show is based. While series creator George R. R. Martin stated on his official blog "there has seldom been any TV series as faithful to its source material" and reiterated how the show and the books are entirely separate stories, albeit with the same intended ending.

Kerry Ingram as Shireen Baratheon falls victim to the ninth episodeShireen Baratheon (Kerry Ingram) falls victim to the ninth episode

That still doesn't excuse the sudden, unexpected (and rather brutal execution) of a young girl, in Sunday night's infamous Episode Nine 'The Dance of Dragons'. Written by show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the episode saw Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) hounded by Ramsey Bolton's (Iwan Rheon) guerrilla tactics, and offering his daughter Shireen (Kerry Ingram) to the priestess Melisandre (Carice Van Houten) as a sacrifice. Said sacrifice involved burning her alive to appease the Red God, with the hopes of turning their luck and winning him the Iron Throne once and for all.

"dragonsaremylife@badass.com": 'Game Of Thrones' Cast Create Character Email Addresses

Emilia Clarke Finn Jones Carice Van Houten Hannah Murray

The lucky BuzzFeed team were at the season four premiere event for Game of Thrones, and managed to ask the cast some rather personal, but also hilarious questions. BuzzFeed asked the cast members they managed to flag down what email addresses they think that their characters would have, as well as which mythological creature they would take into battle with them.  They didn't get the chance to ask Emilia this question, but we have a sneaking suspicion we know the answer to that one anyway!

First up was Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke. Emilia’s email answer was probably our favourite, responding that Dany’s would probably be “dragonsaremylife@badass.com”. Sounds pretty spot on to us, especially after watching the most recent trailer, which sees her character determinedly claim “I will answer injustice with justice.” We can’t wait to see the Khalessi bring it in season four!

The Fifth Estate - Featurette

'The Fifth Estate' stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Laura Linney, Daniel Bruhl and Stanley Tucci along with director Bill Condon talk about the upcoming movie in short featurette. The film tells the shocking story of WikiLeaks founders Julian Assange and Daniel Domscheit-Berg and their quest to share classified information with the world.

"The Fifth Estate" Is Not The WikiLeaks Film Julian Assange Wanted To See

Benedict Cumberbatch Alicia Vikander Carice Van Houten Stanley Tucci

The first wave of WikiLeaks movies is finally seeing its day and director Bill Condon’s The Fifth Estate like it’s going to be the first fictionalized account out of the gate. The first trailer for the Benedict Cumberbatch starrer has just been released and the film looks just as emotionally charged and grandiose as one would hope a film about the biggest story of the decade would be.

Check out the The Fifth Estate trailer below.

Instead of focusing solely on Julian Assange’s creation and defense of WikiLeaks, The Fifth Estate seems to put the strained friendship between Assange and his early supporter and eventual colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg at the center of the plot, a la The Social Network. Speaking of The Social Network, from the trailer alone it seems that the fictionalized account of Assange’s story might bear a much stronger resemblance to the 2010 David Fincher masterpiece, than the upcoming Jobs, which is clearly aiming for “the new Social Network” status.

The Fifth Estate tells the story of Julian Assange, the WikiLeak's founder, and his relationship with supporter Daniel Domscheit-Berg. Their relationship is placed under pressure at the height of the WikiLeaks saga. It focuses on Assange wrestling with his morals as he decides whether or not to publish information which may have endangered his sources.

The Fifth Estate Trailer

When Julian Assange began to leak damaging governmental information online through WikiLeaks, he was praised as a hero by many for finally showing the truth about unethical military operations such as the famous 'collateral murder' video showing an AH-64 Apache taking aim at some unarmed Iraqi journalists. One supporter, Daniel Domscheit-Berg, became good friends with Julian and eventually worked with him in his truth and justice exploits. However, when hundreds of names of government informers were under threat of being leaked, the pair were at a conflict as Daniel understood that many people's lives were at risk if the information got out while Julian remained determined to enlighten the public.

Intruders Review

Weak
Fractured into two narratives that take far too long to come together, this stylish boogeyman thriller never convinces us that anyone is in actual peril.

And without understanding the connections between the characters, we can't engage with the story.

In Spain, Luisa (Lopez de Ayala) is trying to help her young son Juan (Corchero) cope with terrifying nightmares of a hooded, faceless man who invades his room at night. Juan calls him Carahueca, or Hollowface, and gets no help from the kindly local priest (Bruhl). Meanwhile in England, John and Susanna (Owen and van Houten) have no idea how to help their 12-year-old daughter Mia (Purnell), who is paralysed by fear that Hollowface is coming to get her too. And her counsellor (Fox) recommends something that seems to make everything worse.

Intruders Trailer

Juan is an 8 year old boy living in Madrid who loves to tell stories using his vivid imagination. At night, his sleep is disrupted every night by increasingly horrific dreams. His mother is concerned that his storytelling is providing the fuel for these dreams and doesn't believe what Juan tells her; that a faceless demon is appearing to him every night. As his health declines, Juan's mother starts to realise that Juan is not being haunted by an imagined threat brought on by nightmares, as she first thought but an all too real danger that could put an end to Juan's life.

Black Death Review

Very Good
This medieval thriller is cleverly shot and edited to crank up quite a bit of tension, even as the over-the-top grisliness and wacky religious overtones make it nothing much more than a cheap thrill.

Osmund (Redmayne) is a young monk in 1384 England just as the plague is breaking out. The question is whether it's a curse from God or caused by evil in the world. Then the Bishop's envoy Ulric (Bean) arrives with news that an isolated village is somehow pestilence free. Drafting Osmund as a guide, the team heads off to confront what is no doubt pure evil, and indeed when they arrive they meet the village leader Langiva (van Houten), who has turned her back on the Church and created a creepy idyll.
