Carey Mulligan is now considered to be one of the most stylish women in Hollywood, and it appears she's found herself a favorite dress. Last night (19 January 2012), the Drive actress attended the London Critics' Circle Awards in an elegant Roland Mouret creation with red tulip print.
Reaction to the dress was overwhelmingly positive, and the actress drew praise for matching it with blue suede Yves Saint Laurent pumps and gold earrings. However, E! Online thought they'd seen the dress somewhere before, and it was revealed how Mulligan wore the exact same creation for a party exactly two weeks ago, accessorizing it with black pumps on that occasion. Last night in London, Carey was joined on the red carpet by her Shame co-star Michael Fassbender, who opted for a navy suit with white shirt and tie. He looked overjoyed to see the actress and the pair exchanged pleasantries before posing together for photographers. It wasn't always so rosy between the pair though, with Mulligan telling the Press Association. "Michael and I decided to not become friends quite intentionally, because our characters were quite madly vicious towards each other. So we didn't spend any time together. I know him now a little bit, but not through the film-making.We just didn't socialise outside and when we were at work we were very serious".
The actress recently completed filming on Baz Luhrmann's highly anticipated adaptation of The Great Gatsby, also starring LEONARDO DICAPRIO.
