If she takes on the role, it will be the first time Cara - who is currently playing a mermaid in Jo Wright's 'Pan' and has previously taken on supporting parts in 'Anna Karenina' and 'Kids In Love' - will appear in a film's lead female role.
According to Thewrap.com, the 22-year-old model of the moment is considering taking on the part in the picture which will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron - the brains behind blockbuster musicals 'Hairspray' and 'Chicago'.
Susannah Grant will pen the fictional script which is set to compliment the best loved tracks of the 60s rock band.
