The British model has been named as Topshop's first solo star for their Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign.
Cara Delevingne's takeover of the modelling industry continues as she has been announced as the new face of Topshops' 2014 Autumn/Winter collection, and becomes the British retailer's first solo campaign star.
The 21 year-old blonde beauty has been a major player in this competitive industry for some time, having previously worked for the likes of Balmain, YSL Beauty, DKNY, Burberry, and Chanel as a solo campaign model already.
The big announcement came after 12 alluring images were uploaded to Delevingne's Instagram account, which were taken in London by famed photographer Alasdair McLellan and styled by Topshop's creative director Kate Phelan, which featured her wearing items from the high-street fashion store's forthcoming collection.
Phelan, who used to a fashion editor for Vogue, called the London native a "true Topshop girl."
"Her style is confident and playful and she can be sophisticated and chic as easily as she can be cool and casual. Cara is a true Topshop girl," she said, via The Telegraph. "Putting her spin on everything she makes the Topshop collection her own. Her uninhibited natural energy is intoxicating, she is free spirited and fun."
A behind-the-scenes video of the photo-shoot was also uploaded via Topshop's YouTube channel on Monday (July 28th), the caption read, "We can reveal our campaign girl for AW14 is the one and only Cara Delevingne."
Sir Phillip Green, the CEO of the Arcadia Group that includes Topshop, told Bazaar, "It is fitting to have such a fabulous, you British star such as Cara at the epicentre of our campaign. I am hopeful and confident that this will be the beginning of another strong relationship for Topshop."
Congratulation to the young model!
