Camille Grammer has made contact with her former husband Kelsey Grammer in a bid to end their bitter custody battle.
The former couple have been locked in a fight for sole primary access to their children Mason, nine and Jude, six, but Camille insists she wants to put the bitterness behind them and maintain a cordial relationship with Kelsey - who married 29-year-old Kayte Walsh earlier this year.
She told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show: "It's been a tough couple weeks.
"I'm really trying to reach out to him and I think it's very important for us to be cordial to one another to raise our children properly. For me it's all about our kids and what's good for them and stability, to know that they're loved. Hopefully we'll work toward some kind of agreement on this."
Camille's new attitude is in stark contrast to a few weeks ago when friends of the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star revealed she was furious with her former husband and was determined to prevent him from taking them to live with him in Chicago..
A source said: "Kelsey is angry that she didn't walk away from the marriage without a fight. Kelsey is used to getting what he wants, when he wants it. He is incredibly rich and powerful and doesn't like being told no. But after years of being in his shadow Camille has had enough. When it comes to her children she will fight for what's best for them.
"The children have routines, school, friends and are surrounded by people they know and love. To move them across the country to spend time with their dad and his new wife, whom they hardly know, and nannies while their father is working makes no sense at all."
