Camila Alves ''hasn't really thought'' about her wedding to Matthew Mcconaughey.

The couple - who have children Levi, three, and two-year-old Vida - got engaged last Christmas but the Brazilian model has been too busy with their recent move to Texas to start planning their nuptials and believes there are much more important things in life.

She said: ''I really haven't thought much about the wedding.

''We just got a new home, it's just been really busy. I'm just really enjoying being engaged.''

''A lot of people, sometimes they're so stuck on 'I gotta get married, I gotta get married'.

''They forget that the really important thing is to have a healthy home, a healthy family, a healthy environment for your kids and to have everything going in a good, peaceful way.''

While she is enjoying being engaged, Camila doesn't believe anything will change when she and Matthew finally tie the knot because they already feel like husband and wife.

She told ET Canada: ''We've been living a married life for over six years now.

''We have homes together, we have family together, we have kids, we've built a life together. So, we've been living a married life this whole time.''

However, Camila thinks getting married will be good for their children, and says their son is particularly excited about the nuptials.

she added: ''I think it's great for the kids. Levi actually understands what it means now that Mama's going to have the same last name as they have, so that's neat.''
