Cameron Diaz had to give up a special day with her mum on Mother's Day last weekend (09MAY04), because she was stalked by a team of paparazzi.

The movie superstar had planned to spend her only day off between filming and promotional duties with her parents, but she refused to take a convoy of photographers to the family home.

She says, "I was on my way to my mother's house. I haven't seen my parents in a month because I've been on location.

"It was my one day off before I left. I was on my way down and I had these guys following me and I called my mom and I said, 'Mom, I'm so sorry but I'm not bringing these guys to you guys. I can't. They're crazy and I don't know what they're capable of.'

"My mom cried and I was, like, so bummed out."

The actress admits she finds the paparazzi pack that follows her everywhere terrifies her.

She rants, "It's got to such a huge level, these paparazzi. They're terrorists. I'm not kidding. They attack us all day long - there's 10 of them at a time, following you in cars.

"They do these crazy moves and you get out of your car and all of a sudden you've got 10 men who you don't know all six-foot and 200 pounds.

"I keep asking, 'What do you want from me? I'm going to go get a manicure... It's not any different than anyone else does. I'm not going to go and do anything different.' I think they're crazy."
