Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz has been given an authentic Native American name, after an Apache Indian designer became enamoured with her during a shopping trip.

The Charlie's Angels: FULL THROTTLE star - who is a descendent of the BLACKFEET NATION of Montana - spent $12,000 (GBP7,000) on goods in the New York store of DAVID JET BLACK HORSE.

And David was so delighted with Cameron's custom, he named her FIREDANCER.

He says, "She never had an Indian name before. I called her Firedancer because it's so perfect for her. The woman is on fire and she loves to dance. She got emotional. We all did. She really liked it."
