Pop fans looking forward to their summer holidays will be pleased to hear the news that Calvin Harris and Rihanna are teaming up once again for a new single ‘This Is What You Came For’, to be released tomorrow.

The Scottish DJ announced via his Twitter page on Wednesday night that the new track, featuring the Barbadian superstar, will drop on Friday (April 29th).

The pair last teamed up for a joint single on 2011’s enormous hit ‘We Found Love’, which reached the top of the charts all around the world and shot Harris to global fame. He’s been the highest-earning DJ in the world for the last two years, earning $66 million on each occasion.

That track appeared on RiRi’s album Talk That Talk, while Harris co-wrote and co-produced Rihanna’s track ‘Where Have You Been’ that same year.

The news comes just days after Rihanna, currently enjoying a hit single with ‘Work’, surprised fans at Coachella by joining Harris onstage during his set to perform ‘We Found Love’.

However, the new song wasn’t performed at the weekend and comes as news to both Harris’ and Rihanna’s fans, particularly as many had assumed it would be his girlfriend Taylor Swift who would be his next collaborator, after she was spotted wearing the ‘lightning bolt’ artwork on the back of a jacket while supporting Calvin at the gig itself.

Rihanna is set to play a number of dates in Britain and Ireland this summer, beginning with the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on June 21st, taking in London’s Wembley Stadium, Coventry and Glasgow before finishing in Manchester’s Old Trafford stadium on June 29th.

As for Harris, whose position as a perennial festival headliner was triggered by his first collaboration with RiRi, he’ll be headlining T In The Park in his native Scotland in July.
