The Scottish DJ - who is dating Rita Ora - recently scored his sixth UK number one single with 'Summer' and insists that even just getting his music playlisted still feels like a huge achievement.
Asked how having another number one feels, he said: ''It feels absolutely fantastic, even the novelty of having a song playlisted on the radio..
''Also, don't think on the week of release I'm not refreshing iTunes every five minutes. Even Rita's single, which obviously I wrote and produced, I was refreshing iTunes all week.''
The 30-year-old DJ admits he is quite ''humble'', and says his down-to-earth attitude comes from suffering a string of rejections in his early 20s, which shook his faith in his talent.
Speaking to Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 show 'Dance Anthems', he said: ''I think probably when you first start making music you've very confident, you think you're amazing. From the age of 14 to 20, I thought I was incredible.
''And then the age of 20-23, I had my confidence battered and I thought I was rubbish. Labels saying no, all the dance tunes I was making, they were like ,'Nah, bit weird'. So I thought, 'Wow, I'm actually not good enough, that sucks', so by the time I was 23 I was a bit humble about it, and I've been the same ever since, apart from now I've got a nice track record of songs that have done well so I can be pleased with myself about that.''
Corgan took to Instagram to confirm rumours of new Pumpkins material, saying the first songs could arrive as early as May.
