You might say he’s been milking it somewhat, but then if the results are this good then you can’t blame a fellow: Calvin Harris has become the first artist ever to have eight Top 10 UK singles from just one album, after his track ‘I Need Your Love’ featuring Ellie Goulding managed to reach number seven in the charts last weekend (April 21, 2013).

A delighted Harris tweeted "Eight Top 10s from my album 18 Months now! So happy!!!" While further plaudits came from Martin Talbot of the Official Charts Company, who said "Many artists only achieve a handful of hits in their entire careers, so for any act to secure three or four from one album is an excellent achievement.” Continuing he added "In turn, eight top 10s from one album is not just impressive, it is absolutely remarkable. And, of course, record breaking. Congratulations to Calvin Harris, the modern day hit-maker."

Harris has been turning out top 10 hits from this latest album, 18 Months, dating back to June 2011 when Bounce featuring Kelis went to number two in the singles charts. Since then he’s also had team-ups with Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Example, Florence Welch and Tinie Tempah hit the upper echelons, as well as the non-collaborative ‘Feel So Close’. Congratulations Calvin… maybe get onto another album now?
