With such a great cast of cameos during its time on HBO, 'Entourage' had better have something impressive lined up for its feature film. Luckily, it certainly does.
Cameo appearances can make for some of the greatest moments in movies. Remember seeing Alice Cooper in 'Wayne's World'? Stan Lee in 'Mall Rats'? Mike Tyson in 'The Hangover'? Or, possibly the greatest cameo of all time, Bill Murray in 'Zombieland'? Well, for a show set in and around Hollywood, based on the exploits of rapper/actor/executive producer Mark Wahlberg, it was understandable why HBO's 'Entourage' has more than its fair share of A-list cameos.
'Entourage' is set to hit US theatres on 5th June, 2015.
Over the course of its seven-year runtime, 'Entourage' racked up a very impressive list of cameo performances, including Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Hefner, Peter Dinklage, James Cameron, Seth Green, Snoop Dogg, Peter Jackson - you get the idea. There were an awful lot of people getting involved in 'Entourage', so it stands to reason that when the trailer for the feature adaptation launched, people were eagerly looking to see who would be making an appearance outside of the main cast.

Rita Ora is currently involved in multiple showbiz projects.
It's clear that Rita Ora has got a lot on her plate at the moment, with anticipation surrounding her next movie 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' at an all time high especially, but she still found time in her schedule to support her fellow pop icons at the 2014 American Music Awards.
Rita Ora is about to appear in 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'
Rita Ora has been working on her exciting follow-up to 2012 debut album 'Ora', having earlier this year put out first single 'I Will Never Let You Down' produced by Calvin Harris, and now she's set to unveil a second song very soon entitled 'Testosterone'. 'My single comes out in like a week and a half', she admitted in a red carpet interview at the awards show. 'Basically, I'm putting everything out at the same time.'

Brace yourselves, the EMAs are coming.
Calvin Harris fans, brace yourselves – the DJ/producer extraordinaire will not perform at the MTV European Music Awards tonight, because of his recent health scare. Thankfully, a lot of other people will definitely make an appearance, from Alicia Keys to One Direction and a whole host of boy and girl bands besides, including 5SOS and Fifth Harmony. Basically, the playlist of every 13-year-old girl in 2014.
Fifth Harmony, anyone?
But wait, there’s more! Nicki Minaj won’t just be hosting, she will also perform. Given how much Miss Minaj loves a bit of scandal, we can’t wait to see what she pulls off without the FCC breathing down her neck.

Charli XCX, Royal Blood and Kiesza will perform with Harris at the ceremony in Glasgow next month.
Globe-conquering DJ Calvin Harris is among the host of stars booked to play MTV’s Europe Music Awards ceremony in Glasgow next month. It’s set to be something of a homecoming for the 30 year old Scot, as well as some useful media exposure ahead of the release of his new album in November.
Calvin Harris is announced as a performer at MTV's EMAs ceremony in Glasgow next month
Also booked to perform at the ceremony, which will be broadcast live around the world, are the British pop sensation Charli XCX, the granite-hard rock duo Royal Blood who shot to Number 1 with their debut album back in August, and electro singer Kiesza.

It makes absolute logical sense for any company to want to be affiliated with the biggest events in the world, which the football World Cup unarguably is. But what to do when your biggest rival is a corporate partner of said tournament? In this case, the answer is a compilation record.
Whilst a couple of months may already have elapsed since the World Cup ended, this does afford us the ability to review this album using a host of clichés and tournament-inspired analogies. Santigold's 'Kicking Down Doors' signals the start of play with a pounding dub beat on a track that fails to take off. The arrival of a collaboration between Rita Ora and Calvin Harris - 'I Will Never Let You Down' - is like Spain making an appearance, but the resulting club number is as disappointing as the showing from the former champions. The decision to allow Janelle Monae to give Bowie's 'Heroes' an urban makeover gets a red card, but Don Omar adds the correct sort of bite to proceedings with a carnival-enthused 'Pura Vida'.
The second half begins with a substitution to the likeable quirky pop of 'Crescendo' by Jetta, before Kelly Rowland takes centre stage. Unfortunately, 'The Game' is a tuneless effort that falls well beneath the high standard of the output she has previously been involved with and leaves us needing a hero as we enter the latter stages of play. It would be too much now for the result of the album to be saved, but like a late consolation, it doesn't mean you can't put positives into the outcome. It isn't forthcoming though, with the remainder playing out a drab affair lacking impact and passion. Likening this to the England team's performance seems too obvious, but given the lack of expectation in the first instance, is actually quite appropriate.

Although fans may be able to purchase the tracks for a very low fee, Harris has managed to rake in a whopping $7 million in royalties due to his success on the Swedish music platform, but a chunk of these earnings will obviously go to his record label, Columbia, and his fellow collaborators.
The Scottish artist and producer has earned even more than he did last year.
Scottish DJ Calvin Harris has become the highest paid DJ in the world for a second year in a row.According to Forbes’ Electronic Cash Kings list, Harris’ earned $66 million, or £39.7 million, in the last twelve months. Not only has he been the highest earning electronic artist for the past two years, but his earnings have grown by $20 million in the second of those, after he earned $46 million from 2012-2013.

The Scottish DJ reportedly earned $66 million in the last 12 months.
Calvin Harris is once again on top of the DJ ladder as he has earned the title of the world's highest-paid DJ for the second year running. And the 30 year-old hitmaker achieved this by eclipsing his own earnings from the previous 12 months.
Harris topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid DJ's
Harris topped Forbes' list by raking in a whopping $66 million over the last year, mainly due to writing and producing songs for the likes of Rita Ora, Rihanna and Kesha, as well as securing a two-year residential deal at Las Vegas' megaclub Hakkasan.
If there's something to take away from this year's Isle of Wight Festival, it's probably sunburn. Unlike the mud bath of two years ago, 2014 will be remembered for serving up one of the hottest weekends I can remember for a festival, along with some crowd-pleasing performances. While not every act managed to capture their moment in the sun, all the major names delivered in spades.
But it wasn't just the music that made the weekend for many; a real sense of celebration seemed to erupt across the site. Partly fuelled by anticipation over the World Cup and partly because of the good weather, thousands of smiling faces could be seen everywhere. Sunflowers seemed to be an essential festival accessory and many opted for as few clothes as possible with t-shirts looking like they'd gone out of fashion altogether. I've even had to make a note in my diary that it's international flip-flop day on June 20th, just one of the many things I learnt around Seaclose Park this year.
The highlight of Friday afternoon should have really been local boy Tom Odell on the main stage. But his piano led ballads took some time to win the crowd over despite his number 1 album 'Long Way Down'. By the time he'd finished though, the reaction showed that he'd justified his place on the main stage billing.

The Isle of Wight Festival 2014 is underway and it’s looking like it’s set to be a scorcher of a weekend! The Met Office has forecasted dry and sunny weather with temperatures reaching 22°C. British festival-goers will have their fingers crossed that this unusual weather carries on for the rest of festival season, although that may be seriously wishful thinking. With Glastonbury right around the corner we can only hope that the typical torrential rain of festival season doesn't start to set in.

Calvin Harris has confirmed his split from singer Rita Ora, but was Justin Bieber involved in their breakup?
We may have only heard about Rita Ora and Calvin Harris’ split on Friday, but the DJ confirmed on his Twitter account that they had split “some time ago.” Rita has since been since out and about in West Hollywood wearing a racy black minidress and looking like a single lady on the prowl. Although neither Rita nor Calvin have explicitly said what the cause of their split was, TMZ have been reporting that it has something to do with Justin Bieber. Of course it does, if there’s any sort of trouble in celebrity land, let’s all just assume it’s got something to do with Bieber. In between getting baptised in New York hotel rooms could it be that he's a home wrecker too?
The couple seemed happy together at the BRIT awards back in February
So, what exactly are TMZ saying then? Well, apparently Rita and Justin were getting pretty “touchy feely” while they’ve been in the recording studio together over the past few months. Calvin heard that they had been a little over friendly - apparently Rita would sit on Justin’s lap and he would massage her back, and the DJ, unsurprisingly, wasn’t happy about it.

Ora and Bieber became close when working together...but how close?
Rita Ora and Calvin Harris have confirmed their split after having dated for almost a year. The music couple had a reportedly amicable break-up but the 'Shine Ya Light' singer's alleged dalliance with her fellow popstar Justin Bieber is said to have prompted the separation. "To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best," the Scottish DJ tweeted.
Harris reportedly called time on his relationship with Rita after catching wind of an alleged closeness between his girlfriend and Bieber, who had been working together in the studio over the past few months. According to TMZ, Justin and Rita were spotted being "touchy feely" with each other, including Rita receiving back massages from the 'Baby' singer.
"Word got back to Calvin, Justin and Rita got touchy feely with each other while they were in the recording studio together over the last few months," said the gossip site's source. "Calvin heard they were very affectionate - she would sit on his lap [and] he would rub her back."
The Scottish DJ called his former love "a beautiful, talented woman," when confirming their split on Friday (June 6th).
Calvin Harris and Rita Ora are the latest celebrity couple to call it a day on their relationship.
The British stars have been causing a lot of speculation over if they are together or not as of late, Ora was photographed hanging with Justin Bieber and Harris was spotted partying with different women all last week.
But the Scottish DJ had enough of all the chatter, so he took to Twitter to finally set the record straight.

Calvin Harris's single "Summer" has topped the UK charts, knocking Mr Probz "Making Waves" off the number one spot.
Calvin Harris’s latest track Summer has shot straight to the top of the UK charts, making it his sixth number one single. Toppling Knocking Waves by Mr Probz off the top spot, Summer also beat out Kiesza’s Hideaway, Sigma’s Nobody To Love and John Legend’s song, which he wrote for wife Chrissy Teigen, All Of Me.
Calvin Harris has been in a relationship with singer Rita Ora since May 2013
Summer is said to have sold nearly 7,000 more copies than Knocking Waves, marking it as the clear number one. Harris’s first number one single was as a featured artist on Dizzee Rascal’s 2008 track Dance Wiv Me. He achieved his first solo number one a year later in 2009, with his single I’m Not Alone.

Coachella 2014 was littered with standout performances - but was ultimately marred by high profile disappointments.
The Coachella Festival has closed its doors for another year, leaving a bunch of sweating Californian hipsters and A-list celebrities to pack up and dream of 2015. Many had described the 2014 line-up as one of the most interesting and diverse shows yet - but did it manage to live up to the hype?
Arcade Fire Headlined This Year's Coachella Festival
"Who was Sunday's Coachella headliner?" asked the Los Angeles Times in its review of the festival "The band that played last, to wrap up the weekend on the main stage? Or the act that drew probably the weekend's biggest crowd, and certainly its most fevered rush of fans?"

Rita has brought in boyfriend Calvin Harris to work on the album, as well as Gwen Stefani and Prince!
Rita Ora is set to release her sophomore album sooner than you might have expected, as the singer recently told The Mirror her still-untitled second LP is just about done. Want to thank someone for getting the album up and running so soon? how about the artist formerly and currently known as Prince!
Rita has some big names lined up for the new release
The Purple One has contributed to at least one of the tracks on the follow-up to 2012 No. 1 album Ora, although she remained coy over just how much they have worked on together. She told the paper, "I have met him and I have had the honour of being in the same studio as him. We messed around with some music and you know, I can't believe he can play so many instruments. All I can say is that we've definitely done some music together."
The singer will also hook-up with her boyfriend Calvin Harris for some tracks.
Rita Ora has a pretty booked up schedule ahead of her. In addition to filming her part in the upcoming movie adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey, the singer is also working hard on her sophomore album, but on the plus side she has been getting help from some of the best in the business to bring her second album to life.
Rita has described both Prince and Stefani as her biggest influences
We're not exaggerating when we say 'the best' either, because Ora has been working with the one and only Prince! The 'Radioactive' singer revealed recently that she and the legendary Purple One have been in the studio together, but without getting specific she only went as far as saying the pair have "done some music together."

The boys topped the poll of richest Britons under 30, with a massive worth of £59.33 million between them.
One Direction really do have everything after all. In a recently compiled list by Heat Magazine, the boy were revealed as the highest earning entertainment stars under-30's in the UK, with a combined worth of almost £60 million. Individually, the boys would be placed just outside the top ten, however when their wealth is combined they come out on top by a narrow margin.
Young, successful and very rich
Last years top spot holder, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, was ousted by the combined earning power of the mega-successful boy band, who have an estimated worth of over £12 million each. The boys were included to the list as a joint entity because most of their earnings have been made as a group, rather than through independent ventures. Narrowly missing out on reclaiming his top spot for a third time, Radcliffe came in second this year with £56.19 million. Something tells us that the Kill Your Darlings actor isn't losing too much sleep over being ousted from the top spot.

The high earners on the list prove yet again that electronic music is booming (pun intended.)
House, dubstep, drum and bass – electronic music in various forms is thriving at the moment, as Forbes’ list of the world’s highest paid DJ’s goes to show. The chart was topped by Scottish-born DJ Calvin Harris, who earned $46 million in the past year, thanks to high profile collaborations and six-figure nightly fees.
Harris, who prefers a low-key lifestyle most of the time, has played venues in Vegas, Ibiza and around the world.
“The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years,” he tells FORBES. “I happened to be in the right place at the right time.” Maybe chance had something to do with it, but Harris’s talent and business savvy meant that in the past year, he played over 100 shows, with nightly fees upwards of $200 000. It was his collaborations with the likes of Rihanna and LMFAO, however, which boosted him to the top of the Forbes chart. Harris is followed closely on the Electronic Cash Kings list by Dutchman Tijs Verwest, better known by his stage name Tiesto. In 2012 and 2013, the DJ earned close to $32 million. Like Harris, the DJ attributes his success to the rise in popularity of various electronic music genres. For Forbes, Verwest commented: “In America, dance music is booming. At the moment … it’s the most exciting genre.”

It's been a phenomenal year for Harris.
Calvin Harris clearly doesn’t need to find love in a hopeless place – with a main squeeze like Rita Ora and now a spot among the richest celebrities under 30, the DJ is about as far from hopeless as you can get. The 29-year-old Brit is making bank, and just made Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, with £30 million earned to his name in the past twelve months, since his infamous collaboration with Rihanna and, of course, his massive contract for a well-paid Las Vegas residency.
The former supermarket shelf stacker has nothing to worry about now.
Harris’ name has practically blown up over the past year. Since penning We Found Love, he has gone on to break the record for most UK Top Ten hits on one album. In terms of earnings, that translates as a net worth of around £40 million (Harris was estimated at £10 million before the substantial boost.) This puts Harris in the fourth spot on the highest earners under 30 list.

The Mother Monster could have made more too, if she wasn't forced to drop out of her world tour early to undergo surgery.
Lady GaGa is once again the top earning celebrity under 30-years-old according to Forbes Magazine's annual compilation of the top earning staring in Hollywood. The 27-year-old topped a mostly female top ten, amassing an estimated $80 million from the period of June 2012 to June 2013, beating her nearest rival by over $20 million. The singer could have made more too, if it wasn't for the unscheduled cancellation of the end of her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour in January after she was forced to undergo hip surgery.
Lady Gaga could have made even more, not that she needed to
Her closest competitor was Canadian teen sensation Justin Bieber, the highest place of only three males to make the list. Bieber managed to earn a reported $58m thanks to endorsements, touring, a movie and a string of releases over the past year.
In a woman-dominated list, Lady Gaga has emerged as the highest earning entertainer under 30-years-old
Lady GaGa has been a little absent from the music scene and the world of entertainment recently - put that down to her recent hip surgery - but that still hasn't stopped her from becoming the highest earning entertainer aged under thirty in the world. The 'Bad Romance' singer topped a female-dominated list, and Forbes even goes on to mention that the singer could have earned even more if she didn't have to drop out of her recent tour because of her surgery.
The Mother Monster topped the Top Earners Under 30 list for a second year
The singer has made an estimated $80 million over the course of the last year, ranging from June 2012 and June 2013. Her 'Born This Way Ball Tour' grossed $168 million before it was abruptly ended in January, with the singer also making a killing from her cosmetics range, album and singles sales and various other business ventures.

The MTV Video Music Awards have been announced, with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Justin Timberlake sharing six nods.
The nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 have been announced, with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Justin Timberlake leading the field. Armed with their videos for 'Can't Hold Us' and 'Thrift Shop,' the hip-hop duo will square off against JT at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on August 25, 2013.
Both acts received six nominations, with Timberlake getting nods for his 'Suit and Tie' and 'Mirrors' promos. Elsewhere, Bruno Mars appears to have every chance of taking home the prize of 'Video of the Year' with 'Locked out of Heaven,' though Robin Thicke's controversial clip for 'Blurred Lines' and Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' will also be popular.
The VMAs - one of the biggest events on the pop music calendar - represents the first time a major awards show has been held in Brooklyn. The place has been a mecca for art and culture for years, though the Barclays Center appears to have truly put it on the map.

The Radio 1 Big Weekend became a star-studded event with performances from some of the biggest chart toppers.
Rudimental at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend
BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend was just that - a BIG weekend! With a huge range of hit artists, the radio station left no genre uncovered over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend (May 24th - 26th 2013).
Day 1 saw performances from Dizzee Rascal as he promotes his upcoming fifth album due out later in the year; Rudimental, whose debut album 'Home' has had some remarkable reviews and a number one spot on the UK album chart; Rita Ora who is also working on a new album; and her platinum selling boyfriend Calvin Harris. Saturday brought in an equally impressive line-up with Ellie Goulding who is in the UK before she embarks on a lengthy US tour later in the summer; The Saturdays minus Rochelle Humes who is still recovering from the birth of her first baby Alaia-Mai; and Iggy Azalea whose debut album release is imminent. As for day 3, it certainly wasn't a day of rest as hitting the stage in Derry, Northern Ireland were alt-rock threesome Paramore, BRIT award nominated Jessie Ware and Grammy winning Bruno Mars who's set to kick off a major world tour in the summer spanning through 'til March 2014.
The three day event went without a hitch in it's first ever stop over in Chicago
Despite already being a mainstay in the Las Vegas and Orlando music line-up, the Electric Daisy Festival has never ventured to the colder climates of up north, that is until this weekend when the EDM showcase took the Chicagoland Speedway by storm. The (moderately) colder temperatures failed to put off any festival goers at the travelling festival's first ever stop in Chicago.
Having already passed through New York with similar success earlier this month (May 17 - 18), the touring EDM showcase will hit up Vegas for the June 21 - 23 weekend, before heading out to Puerto Rico (September 13 - 14) and Orlando (November 8 - 9) later in the year. The festival will also be skipping borders as it moves to London for a one-day event on July 20, bringing all the electro-madness with it for the one off event. Festival goers this weekend were treated to such EDM mainstays as Calvin Harris, Dj Fresh, Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong, Araabmuzik, La Roux, Tiesto and A-Track as well as a smorgasbord of other quality electronic music acts. As for the weather, although the heavens remained closed the temperature was still a far cry from the blistering Nevada desert heats, but this was a factor some say made the festival all the better.
EDC faithful DJ Gareth Emery, who performed in Chicago and New York and will be following the festival to Las Vegas, told USA Today, "When the weather is bad, the festivals can actually be better because people kind of huddle up together. It's probably one of the times where you want to be down in the middle. You don't want to be in the VIP; you get cold."
The pop star and producer are getting serious, but will it last?
Rita Ora and Scottish production whiz Calvin Harris have been spotted out together more and more frequently in recent weeks and on Saturday (May 25) the pair went public with their relationship. Already though, doubts have been cast on the validity and longevity of the relationship, with bets being taken already on how long the pairing could last.
The link up with Calvin is 22-year-old Rita's seventh relationship in only six months, so you can forgive us for wondering whether the pair might not last. As well as Dave Gardner, James Arthur and Harry Styles, Rita's most memorable (and longest lasting) relationship with Rob Kardashian, which culminated in a Twitter breakdown on Rob's behalf in which he accused her of being a cheat, sleeping with up to 20 men behind his back as well as lying about being pregnant.
Although Rita vehemently denied all the accusations thrown her way, as you would, Rob's accusations must have placed some nagging doubt in the back of Calvin's mind, and perhaps all her other pieces of arm candy that have preceded him. But maybe Rita was just waiting for the right man, and with the 29-year-old superstar producers she may have found what she has been looking for.
Rita Ora and Calvin Harris ate at the Nobu restaurant in London this week.
Ok, so there were rumours that Rita Ora was dating Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, and the pair were spotted at the movies last week, but didn't anyone really think this was a serious thing? Well, apparently it is, with the couple stepping out in London last night to celebrate Calvin's win at the Ivor Novello Awards, where he bagged the rather illustrious gong for Songwriter of the Year.
Rita, 22, certainly made an effort for the pair's second date, wearing a stunning floor length red strapless Vivienne Westwood gown with leather jacket and strappy heels. The couple headed to the swanky celebrity haunt Nobu where they enjoyed a fancy meal before heading to a party at Camden's Proud until the early hours of the morning. Yesterday, Rita proudly uploaded a snap of Calvin, 29, clutching his Ivor Novello on her Instagram page. "Ivor novello's eh? Songwriter of the year. No big deal just pretty f****** awesome!! @calvinharris :))))".
Calvin posted the same snap on his Instagram snap, writing, "Just won Songwriter of the year at the Ivor Novello awards. Proudest moment of my life. Speechless." Rita - who is currently starring in Fast & Furious 6 - is busy working on her own career, rehearsing for a series of festival appearances over the summer.

Calvin Harris was soaked by a drink-slinging reveller, but continued unperturbed.
Calvin Harris was given an almighty soaking by a member of the audience at this show at London's Project Club at the weekend. The Scottish DJ was 30 minutes into a planned hour long set when he was given a watering by a fan who got a little excited. Ever the professional, Harris stuck up two fingers, downed a shot, and continued with his set which ended up being four hours long.
A club source said: "Calvin took it all in his stride. He even joked that next time he DJs he'll wear waterproofs. The culprit was dealt with very quickly and 95 per cent of the clubbers didn't even notice. Calvin was a pro and carried on unphased and ended up DJing for extra time when a lot of lesser performers would have stormed off." It's probably not difficult for Harris to keep an audience on the dancefloor for four hours - his latest album 18 months is packed with chart hits. I Need Your Love, featuring Ellie Goulding, has become the eighth top ten track from the album. It means Harris now holds the record, overtaking Michael Jackson who scored seven Top 10's from his Dangerous record.
Harris is about to take off to the U.S for a handful of shows, before heading back to Europe for the summer. He'll play multiple shows in Ibiza and Mallorca before returning to the UK for a number of festivals including Oxegen and V Festival.

Pair both have relationships
What’s this!? Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding canoodling? Topless!? (Well Calvin is anyway,) MAKING OUT!? Fear not, those who are aware that both the DJ and the singer are currently in relationships with other people, the pals are just fooling around in a new video for Calvin Harris new single I Need Your Love.
The single is the seventh (!) to be released from Harris’ third album 18 Months – overkill much? – and evidently aware that surely no one gives a toss anymore about a track that’s been around for almost seven months, Harris has sought to spice things up a little in the video by having him and Goulding making out on the beach and in bed, to get people talking about it a little. It’s evidently worked given what we’re typing right at this instant.
In real life things are somewhat different, with Ellie Goulding going out with actor Jeremy Irvine, star of Spielberg film War Horse, and Harris dating former girlfriend of Maroon 5 man Adam Levine and Victoria’s Secret model, Anne Vyalitsyna. We can’t help but wonder what those two think of the pair in this video, however, we can’t help but feel they’ll feel a little perturbed by the clear chemistry that exists between the pair. Oo-er.

David Guetta, Fatboy Slim and Swedish House Mafia are pictured at the final weekend of Miami's Ultra Music Festival.
Swedish House Mafia at Ultra Musical Festival, Miami
America's favourite EDM fest The Ultra Music Festival have rounded off their last weekend with an impressive line-up.
We expected nothing less than exhilarating, flawless electronic finery from Ultra's uber exciting 2013 2-weekend line-up and neither weekend's artists held back at all as they hit Miami's Bayfront Park full of enthusiasm. Weekend 2's line-up saw a sting of disc jockey legends including double Grammy winner David Guetta, DJ royalty Fatboy Slim, the more recent chart sensation Deadmau5 and the Gold-selling Calvin Harris. Other attendees included Afrojack, who recently remixed Psy's YouTube hit 'Gangnam Style', Dutch sensation Armin Van Buuren, Italian DJ Benni Benassi and out latest electronic music heroes Zeds Dead. Snoop Lion (aka Snoop Dogg) became the highlight of weekend 1, however, and he probably felt right at home having collaborated with many artists on the bill.
First weekend of Ultra Music Festival hampered by multitude of arrests
The dance music-focused Ultra Music Festival in Miami was marred by 58 arrests being made over the weekend; not a great start for an event which was, for the first time, granted a license to take place over an additional second weekend. According to NBCmiami.com, 58 people were arrested at the festival during the weekend’s events, the majority of which were for “disorderly conduct, narcotics and people who tried to enter without paying.”
Police noted that the number of drug-related arrests were minimal; however, the number of arrests that were made will still bring concern surrounding the second event, due to take place next weekend (March 22 – 24, 2013). The Commission Chairman Marc Sarnoff told NBC 6 South Florida back in January that he felt the second weekend was a bad idea, because of the event’s association with drug-taking amongst its punters. “The second weekend also concerns me with the amount of drug consumption. As you know, ecstasy and LSD are the mainstay drugs there,” said Sarnoff. The second weekend is still scheduled to take place and will commence at 5pm on Friday.
Even prior to this last weekend’s event, the festival, featuring artists such as Calvin Harris and The Weeknd was hit with bad news, as four workers were injured by a falling LED screen, which hung from the stage at one of the festival’s sites. The event still went ahead, following an investigation.

Labrinth and Emeli Sande marked an impressive end to the week in the charts, as their collaborative effort, 'Beneath Your Beautiful', took the top spot thanks to an appearance on The X Factor over the weekend.
It didn’t matter who was voted to stay on the show, as the London rapper and Scotish singer Sandé proved to be the real winners of the weekend, and Emeli in particular had a weekend worth writing home about. Her collaboration with Labrinth went from 85 to number one in the charts over the space of a week, whilst her other collaboration, with rapper Naughty Boy, made it to number 10 in the charts. Her album, Our Version of Events, re-entered the upper echelons of the charts for the umpteenth time this year too, coming in second place behind Taylor Swift and her new album, Red.
Sandé’s album is the highest selling album of 2012 now, with Adele’s 21 finally being knocked from its perch. The rest of the top three was made up of Swedish House’s ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ and Calvin Harris and Florence Welch’s collab. ‘Sweet Nothing’ take numbers two and three respectively. Meanwhile, on the eve of the film’s release, Adele’s Bond theme ‘Skyfall’ fell down to seventh.
