Calista Flockhart is keeping Harrison Ford's spirits up while he recovers in London.

The 71-year-old actor - who suffered a broken leg and needs eight weeks of rehabilitation treatment after he was crushed by a hydraulic door while filming 'Star Wars: Episode VII' at the Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, south east England earlier this month - is leaning on his 49-year-old wife and their 13-year-old son, Liam, for support.

A source told PEOPLE magazine: ''Harrison and Calista are all about family life. It's obvious that she has added lots of joy to his life.''

The couple, who tied the knot in 2010 in New Mexico after eight years of dating, hate being apart and enjoy spending most of their time together with their families or cheering on Liam during soccer games when they aren't working.

Harrison, who has four older children from previous relationships and three grandchildren, is currently recovering from surgery.

A spokesperson for the star said: ''[He] will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work.''

Harrison's eldest son, Ben Ford, also recently insisted his father is doing well.

He said: ''He's in a good spot. He's like an old lion. The years have softened him.''
