Bruce Jenner Convinces Kris Jenner To Reconcile With His Mother

Bruce Jenner arranged a reconciliation between Kris Jenner and his mother on Sunday's (18 August) episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kris has never had a brilliant relationship with her mother-in-law, something women around the world can sympathise with, but her husband Bruce wanted to change that dynamic on the recent episode.

Bruce Jenner was determined his wife and mother should reconcile.

Bruce attempted to convince Kris to visit his mother in Idaho to celebrate her 87th birthday. Kris was in no mood to visit the older woman who, in her own words, "doesn't even like me." She continued by stating, understandably, "why would I go visit somebody who can't stand me?"

Kris pointed out that no matter how hard she tried with her mother-in-law, their relationship never changed. She recalled one incident when Esther came to visit: "the last time she came to my home, I made her dinner, I made her brownies, I made her pasta, my favourite soup, I put flowers in her room. I made her feel like a princess."

When Bruce attempted to compromise, with advice from Khloe Kardashian, by flying his mother out to Los Angeles, Kris attempted to avoid the subject. Bruce continued anyway and flew his mother out from Idaho.

Kris Jenner waited "23 years" to have a heart-to-heart with Esther Jenner.

Kris seemed unnerved by the presence of Esther in her house. She was unwilling to engage in conversation and excused herself early by going to bed. The next day Bruce wasn't taking no for an answer, encouraging his mother to speak to Kris. Esther sat at the end of Kris' bed and apologised for not being as close to her daughter-in-law. Kris made an excuse too, saying that it was "just a lot of personalities in the mix and stuff going on."

Esther went on to explain her position that he felt as though "I should stay away, stay out of the picture," however she realised she should be more involved and as Bruce is so happy with Kris, to make more of an effort. The two women hugged and the episode ended on a happy note.  

After being in the same family for twenty years and after numerous attempts by Kris to win her mother-in-law Esther's favour, it seems things are finally going well between the two women. For now...
