Songwriter Burt Bacharach, The Band, Doris Day and bluegrass legend Earl Scruggs are among the stars who will be honoured with Lifetime Achievement awards at the 50th annual Grammy Awards next year (08). Reclusive singer/actress Doris Day, violinist Itzhak Perlman and drummer Max Roach will also take home awards for their "lifelong artistic contributions to the recording medium" in February (08). Elektra founder Jac Holzman and Al Green's longtime producer Willie Mitchell will be among those receiving the Recording Academy's Trustees Award at the Grammys.
