R&B star Bruno Mars has spoken for the first time about his drug bust scandal last year (10), admitting he's learned not to do anything "stupid" now that he's famous.
The Grenade hitmaker, real name Peter Hernandez, was arrested in Las Vegas in September (10) after he was allegedly caught with a bag of cocaine at the Hard Rock Hotel.
He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance last month (Feb11) and was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
Mars is now moving on from the experience, which he insists taught him a valuable lesson on life in the spotlight.
He tells GQ magazine, "I'm not gonna preach that I'm a role model. I'm a f**king musician! But I've learned people are watching, so don't do nothing stupid."
The singer was also ordered to enrol in a counselling program and pay a $2,000 (£1,250) fine as part of his sentence.
