Producers Behind Bruce Willis' New Stage Adaptation Of Misery Have Banned Ice In Drinks In A Bid To Keep The Auditorium Quiet.
The Hollywood action star tackles the role of novelist Paul Sheldon, which was made famous by James Caan in the 1987 film adaptation of Stephen King's classic book.
He is currently appearing in previews on Broadway prior to the production's opening, and it has emerged that show bosses are going to extreme measures to keep the Broadhurst Theatre quiet during performances.
They have banned ice in drinks, as well as cell phones, to cut down on noise during the show.
A representative for the play tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "It's 90 minutes with no intermission. It's all about building suspense. The last thing you want in an intense moment is someone unwrapping candy and jiggling ice cubes."
