Bruce Springsteen has scored number albums on both sides of the Atlantic after debuting at the top of the Billboard charts today (04MAY05).

The Boss' latest release, DEVILS + DUST, claimed the number one spot from MATCHBOY TWENTY star Rob Thomas with a 222,000 sales week.

Thomas' SOMETHING TO BE dropped to number four, while another former chart-topper, Mariah Carey's THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI stayed put at number two.

R+B sensation Bobby V's DISTURBING THA PEACE PRESENTS: BOBBY V crashes in at number three with 180,000 units sold.

Other new entries in the top 10 are Amerie's TOUCH, country star JO DEE MESSINA's DELICIOUS SURPRISE.
