American singer Bruce Springsteen inducted U2 into America's ROCK 'N' ROLL HALL OF FAME last night (14MAR05) - before duetting with the hitmaking Irish rockers.

The lavish ceremony at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel marked rock 'n' roll's 50th anniversary, and also paid tribute to punk rockers THE Pretenders, soul crooner Percy Sledge, THE O'JAYS and Blues guitarist Buddy Guy.

The BORN IN THE USA legend, who was inducted into the Hall Of Fame by Bono in 1999, introduced U2 by saying, "This was a band that wanted to lay claim to this world and the next one, too."

The band went on to perform a host of their biggest hits including a re-vamped version of I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR featuring Springsteen.
