Rocker Bruce Springsteen and comedian Robin Williams are teaming up to raise money for America's troops by performing a benefit show in New York City this autumn (12).

The Born to Run hitmaker and Good Will Hunting star will take the stage at the Beacon Theatre for the sixth annual Stand Up for Heroes event, which will kick-off the New York Comedy Festival on 8 November (12).

British funnyman Ricky Gervais and Young Adult star Patton Oswalt will also be on hand for the celebrity showcase, with a portion of all ticket sales benefiting the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which provides aid to injured soldiers and their families.
