Actress Brooke Shields is reportedly suffering from depression, months after achieving her longtime dream of becoming a mother.
Shields, 38, and her 39-year-old husband Chris Henchy welcomed their first child - daughter ROWAN FRANCIS - into the world in May (03) after numerous attempts to conceive, but pals say she's since been putting on a brave face.
A source tells STAR magazine, "Brooke still hasn't completely gotten over her postpartum baby blues. She's incredibly depressed some of the time - and doesn't understand why."
Pals say the death of Shields' father FRANK just three weeks before Rowan arrived may have contributed to her depression.
The source adds, "Brooke was desperate to give birth before her father passed away. When Frank died, Brooke was devastated."
The beauty's representatives deny that she has ever suffered from postpartum depression.19/03/2004 17:54
