Brooke Shields, the American actress best known for her movies 'The Blue Lagoon' and 'Pretty Baby', fluffed her lines at Sunday's Tony Awards (13th June 2011). Brooke Shields messed up her lines during the show's opening number, reports the Washington Post.
After getting tongue-tied, Shields shrieked, "I don't know what I'm doing!", before attempting to read the words off a notecard. Later, while she was onstage to present an award, the actress joked about her mishap, saying, "I can do eight performances a week, but I can't read a teleprompter". It was then that Shields committed her second mishap, getting bleeped on television, saying, "I thought they'd edit it, then I realized, 'Oh, (bleep), It's live". Elsewhere on the star-studded evening, Catherine Zeta-Jones made her first public appearance since announcing she was treated for bipolar disorder in April 2011. The actress, who won a Tony last year, presented two awards at the ceremony. South Park duo Trey Parker and Matt Stone were the evening's biggest winners for their controversial musical 'The Book of Mormon'.
Brooke Shields recently completed work on the forthcoming adventure movie 'The Greening of Whitney Brown', with Sammi Hanratty and Aidan Quinn. The film follows the story of a spoiled pre-teen from Philadelphia who is forced to move to the country.
