Britney Spears' attorney has said the singer is taking special measures to protect her children during her court proceedings.
The Baby One More Time star's child custody battle with former husband Kevin Federline and her troubles with the law this summer have been chronicled by the media and Spears seems to be getting wary of the attention.
Her lawyer Sorrell Trope said: "Recent aggressive actions by individuals who have followed and blocked her access, with and without the children, have resulted in her decision to take certain security measures which she hopes will only be necessary temporarily, for the protection of the children."
"Ms Spears hopes that she and Mr Federline will be able to reach an agreement as to all matters concerning their children. She hopes that by not commenting on court proceedings the media attention in those proceedings will subside, which she requests for the safety and well being of the children," the star's attorney added.
Spears has been mobbed by photographers in public places and recently ran over a paparazzo's foot after arriving at LA's Four Seasons hotel for dinner. A video of her running a red light while her children were sitting in the car has also been released, which raised concerns about her two sons' safety while she was behind the wheel.
The troubled singer, who has temporarily lost custody of her children to her husband, was told in an emergency hearing into her case on Friday that she could no longer drive her sons.
Over the past year, the singer has got herself into more trouble with the law due to her driving problems.
Spears was charged with two misdemeanours over a parking offence in LA over the summer. She was spared possible jail time for leaving the scene of the accident after agreeing to pay for the damage caused by the driving mishap.
