Britney Spears and Adele have triumphed in the year's first major magazine reader's poll.
Spears emerged as the leader of the Billboard end-of-year survey, while Adele snagged the most votes for Favorite Hot 100 No. 1 (Rolling in the Deep) and Favorite Billboard 200 No. 1 for her album 21.
Spears beat Lady Gaga and Adele to the 2011 Mvp (Most Valuable Player) title and also picked up trophies for Best Music Video (Till The World Ends) and Best Tour, while her Billboard Music Awards collaboration with Rihanna was named Best Awards Show Performance - ahead of Adele's MTV Video Music Awards appearance.
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj beat Foster The People to the Best Newcomer honour and Lady Gaga picked up the top votes for Best Fashion and Most Overrated.
