Britney Spears has turned down an offer of $10 million a year to become a judge on Fox's The X Factor next season but has indicated she'd accept $20 million, according to TheWrap.com, which cited a knowledgeable individual in Spears's camp. The website said that Spears rejected the $10-million offer three weeks ago and is now considering an offer to become a "resident performer" -- à la Celine Dion -- at a Las Vegas hotel. Meanwhile, the London Daily Star reported today that X Factor producer-judge Simon Cowell is courting Grammy winner Adele to join the U.S. version of the show. It quoted a source close to Cowell as saying that "money is not a factor" in his effort to lure Adele to the show. "Simon is always looking for new directions and ideas," the source said. "He recognizes that true musicianship and a serious approach can bring a lot of credibility and an extra dimension to his show."
