If Simon Cowell is feeling stressed from the competition in his home land, with the UK version of 'The Voice' trumping his show 'Britain's Got Talent' over the weekend ratings, then he's dealing with it pretty well and in a way only he can, with reports surfacing that he's managed to ensnare pop superstar Britney Spears onto his US 'X Factor' judging panel in time for the next season.
Spears is set to sign for a whopping $15 million, eclipsing the $12 million that Jennifer Lopez currently earns over at 'American Idol,' and would undoubtedly be the highest profile judge ever to have appeared on either an 'X Factor' or 'Idol,' even accounting for the fact that rock legend Steve Tyler is currently on 'Idol.' A source told E! Online "Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee."
Continuing, the insider added "That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it's been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality." Cowell had a cull after the first season of 'X Factor' in the US, booting out judges Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and even host STEVE JONES.
