Britney Spears' former backing singer Kiley Dean has landed a new deal with rap producer Timbaland.

The pretty 21-year-old, who backed Britney on her 2000 tour, reworks Aaliyah's rock the boat on her debut single MAKE ME A SONG, which will be released on Timbaland's BEAT CLUB label.

And she thanks Britney for her new solo success - because she met producer Timbaland while on tour with the pop superstar.

She says, "A year later, he had a deal with INTERSCOPE RECORDS with Beat Club and he asked me to come be a part of it. I was like, 'Yeah, I don't even have to think about that.'"

Arkansas native Dean admits her biggest plus point so far - as she attempts to win over critics and record executives - is she's white.

She explains, "People have heard my music and are expecting this 'sista' and they get this white girl."
