Britney Spears says she has poured her "heart and soul" into new album 'Femme Fatale'.
BRITNEY SPEARS, who announced yesterday that her seventh studio album will be titled 'Femme Fatale', says she has put "everything" into the record and dedicated the impending release to her supportive fans.
After announcing the news on her Twitter page, the pop superstar also tweeted a picture of the album cover, which features a close-up shot of Spears looking seductively into the camera. The 29-year-old told followers, "I've poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I've put everything I have into it. This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!" The singer also described the album as being "Sexy and Strong. Dangerous yet mysterious. Cool yet confident!" The notion of a 'Femme Fatale' has a long history in both cinema and music, particularly in the film noir flicks of the 1940's and 1950's, however, THE Velvet Underground had a track of the same name sung by the mysterious German artist Nico.
The lead single from the album is 'Hold It Against Me', Spears experimental new track that features an unexpected dubstep break. The singer is reportedly planning a large promotional tour for the record, which will include "a major TV event" to launch the album. 'Femme Fatale' will hit shelves on 15th March 2011.
