The promo video for Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s hit duet ‘Pretty Girls’ has finally dropped and boy was it worth the wait! In the video, Iggy plays an alien who crash lands on earth and is befriended by a very 80s looking Britney Spears and her gang of Valley girl pals.

britney spearsBritney goes for an 80s look in the throwback video.

Sporting very crimped hair and a leopard print crop top, Britney looks to be having the time of her life with Iggy, as the two cruise around LA in a bright yellow jeep with custom Pretty Girls licence plate. Also working the crimped 80s look, Iggy teams her blonde locks with a light denim waistcoat and shorts combo.

In the video Azalea boasts some very handy alien powers which include being able to extract cash out of an ATM machine and turning a big 80s phone into a modern Samsung handset. But Britney still has some pretty special powers of her own and at one point she busts out some serious dance moves as only Ms Spears can.

Speaking to USA Today Iggy, who co-directed the video said it was important to Britney that they got to play characters. ”What Britney made clear to me is that she really wanted to do a video where she got to dress up and play a character. She just wanted to let loose and not necessarily feel like she's playing Britney Spears."

Spears herself said the best part of making the video was her and Iggy coming together with the clothes and doing the '80s haircuts. “We were all about being characters, so it was kind of funny for us. We weren't taking ourselves so seriously,” Spears said.

But as for why Britney got a dance break and Iggy didn’t, well that was all down to the ‘Fancy’ hitmaker’s modesty. "I didn't dance! She wanted me to," Azalea added. ”It would be kind of obnoxious for me to direct a video and give myself a dance break. Like, 'Here's the video! And I gave myself a dance scene!’
