It will be King’s first London gig in more than 25 years.
Carole King has been announced as the latest headlining act for this year’s British Summer Time Festival at London's Hyde Park. King will headline the annual event on Sunday July 3rd and will be playing her classic 1972 album Tapestry in full.

"I can't wait to perform Tapestry from beginning to end for the first time... in the heart of one of my favourite cities," the 74-year-old told BBC 6 Music. King added that it "actually wasn't my idea" to play the album in full, but "no-one has ever thought to ask [before] and I loved the the idea.”

Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park has announced that Blur will be headlining the festival in June 2015, marking their fourth ever gig at the legendary London venue and setting a record as the only artists to do so.
They'll be joining some amazing acts who will be performing this year including The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Lopez and more. But being one of the biggest bands from across the last two decades, Blur is recognised a particular headline gem. Jim King, Senior Vice President Live Events, stated: 'There are few things in life that are as brilliant and as quintessentially British as Blur playing an outdoor gig in London.'

'The Voice' judge will be joined by a host of huge names for the British Summer Time Festival
Over two weekends in July, London’s Hyde Park adopts the veneer of festival season, attracting some of the world’s biggest acts to play in front of a sun-drenched crowd, weather permitting. This year’s proceedings will be headlines by legendary singer, Tom Jones, who called the park “a beautiful place,” in a statement.

"I love playing in Hyde Park, it's such a beautiful place and so many of the greats have played there," explained Jones, who recently reignited his popularity with a judging role on the BBC singing show, The Voice. "There is a real sense of musical history and a fantastic atmosphere that comes with playing in the middle of a great London park on a wonderful summer evening."
