Diabetic rocker BRET MICHAELS is fronting a new charity campaign to raise awareness of the condition.
The Poison star has suffered from type 1 diabetes since the age of six and recently raised more than $300,000 (£200,000) for the American Diabetes Association with his stint on reality TV show Celebrity Apprentice.
Michaels has now signed up to become the face of the organisation ahead of American Diabetes Month in November (10).
The singer says, "It is an honour to once again be working with the American Diabetes Association. As someone with type 1 diabetes, I know how difficult it can be to live with this disease and how important it is to raise awareness so that we can eventually put a stop to diabetes. I hope everyone will join me in the movement to Stop Diabetes this November."
