The reality TV star Brandi Glanville has been speaking to E! News about the reasons behind her short-lived 'marriage' to her friend Darin Harvey. The pair reportedly wed in Las Vegas at one of the city's many wedding chapels. Glanville said they simply "went through the motions but we're not legally married" as they were told at the chapel that they did not have the required paperwork (a marriage license).
Explaining their actions, which happened during a night out in Sin City, she said "For two years he's like, 'Will you marry me?' All right, finally, [while in Vegas] he was like, 'Will you marry me? Let's just do it! I was like, 'All right.'" Glanville announced her pretend wedding (which was witnessed by a cab driver) via Twitter and was unprepared for the response that she got from some of her followers on the social networking site. She later Tweeted "I didn't realise what we did wuld affect others so seriously! in my head I was just having fun w/ my best friend who I adore & has been there for me during all my tuff times!"
The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills star went on to describe herself as "a little nutty" and said that she was just calling Harvey's bluff. She was quick to confirm that they never consummated the wedding and nor was there any romance before getting 'hitched' with the statement: "Our wedding was our first kiss! We are just friends."
