During an interview with U.S. breakfast show Today, she said, "My son has Asperger's syndrome. Empathy is a little more difficult for aspies and so I thought getting involved in the foster parenting might help... Florence Henderson, who played the mother on The Brady Bunch, has chastised television executives for failing to include shows with family values in their lineups. "I think you'd be hard pressed to find a show today" that does, Henderson told CNSNews.com, a unit of the conservative Media Research Center. "You know there's so much over-stimulation with the Internet, with television. You know [children] just lose their innocence so quickly today," she said. At the same time, she added, "I must say you are hard pressed to find shows that have morals and teach values to kids."

MCCormick - who played perfect teen Marcia Brady in the hit series - hired late celebrity doctor Eugene Landy to help her overcome her troubled past after the successful show ended in 1974.
Landy lost his professional licence following accusations of brainwashing, drugging and isolating singer Wilson while treating the California Girls hitmaker in the 1970s.
And though MCCormick admits she abused cocaine and suffered from bulimia as she struggled to find more TV work, she insists it was Landy's treatments that sent her spiralling into a deeper depression.

Former child actress Maureen McCormick is thankful she didn't lose her virginity to Brady Bunch co-star Barry Williams - because she's convinced the tryst with her on-screen brother would have sent her spiralling into a deeper depression.
MCCormick speaks candidly about her long-running battle with drugs and depression in her forthcoming book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice.
And the actress is adamant her condition would have worsened if Williams had succeeded in bedding her.
Recalling the encounter, she says, "We were swimming in the pool. We were in our bathing suits, hot and heavy... we got very close and his parents, thank God, came in the room. Thank God because he was my (screen) brother, right? I would've been really messed up."

Wholesome former THE Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick is set to reveal the beloved 70s TV series' most shocking secret in a new book - she and her on-screen sister had a lesbian fling.
MCCormick's tell-all, Here's The Story, won't hit bookstores until 2008, but publishers are already buzzing about the big reveal.
As well as talking candidly about her well-documented eating disorder and drug problems in the book, TV's Marcia Brady will come clean about a romance she had with co-star Eve Plumb, who played her sister Jan on the hit show.
A source tells America's National Enquirer, "The most explosive comments will be how the then-blonde, blue-eyed cutie developed a crush on Eve Plumb, which led to some sexual play.
"This book will certainly come as a shocker. While Maureen is not a lesbian, she reveals there were some sexual hijinks going on behind the scenes.
"It's bizarre because she played such a virginal character on the show."
