Sci-fi thriller 'Limitless' starring Bradley Cooper topped the US box office this weekend.
The movie, which also stars Robert Di Nero, and tells the story of a man who finds a pill that can accelerate brain function, took in a total of $19 million, putting it ahead of 'Rango'.
The animated adventure starring Johnny Depp came in at second place, generating $15.3 million and was followed by another sci-fi, 'Battle: Los Angeles', which took in $14.6 million - a 59 per cent drop from last weekend.
Two new releases also made their debut this weekend, with 'The Lincoln Lawyer' and 'Paul' coming in fourth and fifth places with $13.4 million and $13.1 million respectively.
As Bradley establishes himself as a successful leading man, his personal life has been making headlines as he reportedly split up with actress Renee Zellweger last week.
The pair are said to have parted ways after less than two years together, according to UsMagazine.com.
