The 38-year-old star popped the question to the blonde beauty - whose first fiance was tragically killed in a car crash six years ago while she was pregnant with their child - in South Africa, presenting the single mother with a sparkling diamond ring.
He said: "You're so much more to me than a leap of faith. You're the one, Em. I love you ... You're my once in a lifetime. I'm asking you to give me your forever.
"Please let me be your best friend, let me protect you and your beautiful daughter and please give me the opportunity to love you for the rest of your life."
Brad caused controversy in 2007 when he rejected both Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas during his first stint on the US show, and he admitted while he had made mistakes in the past, he's finally found the woman of his dreams.
He added: "I've gone through so much to get to where I am today. I've made so many mistakes and had so many ups and downs.
"I always believed that when the time was right, I'd find the woman that I've been looking for for my entire life."
A teary Emily happily accepted the romantic proposal.
