Brad Womack, the American reality television star, has reportedly split from his fiance Emily Maynard, according to U.S. Weekly Magazine. Brad Womack proposed to Maynard during the season finale of 'The Bachelor' in November 2011, but the 25-year-old has reportedly returned the engagement ring to network ABC, who originally provided the piece of jewellery.
It was assumed that the pair were planning on marrying in the near future, but a show insider confirmed, "It's completely over now". Maynard was spotted in her hometown of Charlotte last week without a ring on her left finger, fuelling reports that the couple had called it quits. The relationship was reportedly strained with Womack living in Austin, Texas, and Maynard raising her 5-year-old daughter in Charlotte. In a joint statement last month, the couple told People Magazine, "It has been a bumpy couple of months for us. Our priority right now is to focus on our relationship". Representatives for the show are yet to make an official comment on the status of their relationship.
Brad Womack, often considered one of the most hated 'bachelors' in the show's history, returned to the programme last year to redeem himself following his previous appearance. In 2007, he famously rejected all 25 potential love interests.
