Actor Brad Pitt has trouble falling asleep at night because he lies awake worrying about his family's safety.
The hunk has six kids with fiancee Angelina Jolie, who recently underwent a double mastectomy to reduce her risk of developing breast cancer, and Pitt admits his overworked brain often keeps him awake as he considers her health and their kids' futures.
He tells USA Weekend, "That's the only thing that keeps me up at night. Just thinking, 'Is everyone safe?'...There's safety when they're climbing the jungle gym, you worry a little bit. There's safety when they're out playing. There's safety when you know they're all in their beds and everyone's sleeping right. Then there's worry when one gets sick. It's the normal parental woes and worries."
To minimise his fears, Jolie and the Fight Club star purposely leave their children at home whenever they travel to to potentially dangerous countries such as Jordan, where the beauty visited a Syrian refugee camp last week (begs17Jun13).
He adds, "We don't take them into the dangerous places in the world. And as far as trying to protect them from celebrity or celebrity-hunters, that's any major city. That's any urban hub anywhere. We're always better in the country - any country, but in the country."
