Brad Pitt was attacked by notorious celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk while he was attending the premiere of his fiance's latest film 'Maleficent'.
Brad Pitt was attacked at the Hollywood premiere of 'Maleficent' last night (28.05.14).
The actor joined his fiance, Angelina Jolie, at the El Capitan theater on Hollywood Boulevard when Ukrainian reporter Vitalii Sediuk allegedly punched him in the face, but police were quick to respond and took him away in handcuffs.
According to the BBC News, a spokesperson for the film company said: ''This was an unfortunate and inappropriate incident that is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.''
Sediuk has become known for pranking celebrities on the red carpet. Last week attempted to put his head up 'Ugly Betty' actress America Ferrera's skirt at the Cannes premiere of 'How To Train Your Dragon 2'.
In January this year, he hugged Bradley Cooper around the waist, putting his face in the 'Hangover' star's crotch at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a month later, tried a similar move on Leonardo Dicaprio at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
Sediuk was involved in an angry encounter with Will Smith at the 'Men In Black 3' premiere, two years ago, after he tried to kiss the star on the lips.
