Who do you reckon Brad Pitt might support if he was into English Premier League football? Surely given the profile of David Beckham in the United States you’d expect him to go for his old club Manchester United. Then again, given he’s likely to only be a fan of the very best you could suggest that he’d be a supporter of European champions Chelsea, or Premier League champions Manchester City.

However, it turns out that Pitt isn’t a fan of any of those three, choosing to buy his kids hundreds of pounds worth of Liverpool FC gear. We’re not sure if that means the Hollywood actor is definitely a fan of the once illustrious club himself, but we’ve all been forced by our dads into supporting the club they love at one point or other in our childhoods haven’t we? The Sun reports that Pitt and Jolie got their kids six complete Liverpool kits, with the couple also reportedly ordering tracksuits, mugs and caps to be sent to their home back in the US.

“They rang the club shop and spent hundreds” a source said. “Son Maddox is a big fan and his favourite player is Steven Gerrard." In fairness, Pitt and Jolie are on familiar terms with the UK, even going as far as spending a big chunk of this year living in Surrey. Maddox and Angie reportedly became fans are she filmed near Liverpool back in 2002.
