BROOKS + DUNN star RONNIE DUNN has emerged as the leader of nominations for this year's (06) Country Music Association Awards after netting seven nods during a televised announcement ceremony this morning (30AUG06). The singer landed six nominations as a member of the country music duo and one as the writer of the group's hit BELIEVE. Brad Paisley was also a big winner at the nomination ceremony in New York - he landed mentions in six categories, including the coveted Entertainer of The Year, for which he'll compete with Rascal Flatts, Brooks + Dunn, last year's (05) winner Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney. The nomination ceremony was extra special for Paisley as he joined SUGARLAND's Jennifer Nettles to name the runners on US TV show Good Morning America. Chesney, newlywed Urban and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood each landed four nominations. The 40th CMA Awards will be announced in Nashville, Tennessee on 6 November (06).
