Kian Egan has hit out at his former Westlife bandmate Brian McFadden and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy, who have joined together to form Boyzlife. Appearing on 98FM Egan was asked what he thought of the pair’s venture. "What do I make of it all? Good luck to them,” he said. “It’s a bit of an odd one. You know, a member of Westlife who left the band after four years decides to use half the name for whatever it is that they're doing.”

Ronan Keating Fears Boyband Tie-up

The singer is preparing to celebrate 25 years in showbiz next year (17) with his Boyzone bandmates Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, and Shane Lynch, and they are considering a collaboration with another group to mark the milestone.

They have already revealed plans to record an album of tracks with several other pop stars, including fellow Irish band Westlife, but Ronan is wary of forming a supergroup with them as he fears too many stars on one tour would cause friction.

He told U.K. talk show Loose Women, "Kind of the end of next year is when we can start celebrating 25 years. We'd love to do something."

Ronan was thrust into the spotlight as a teenager in the early 1990s as his band Boyzone enjoyed a succession of hits in their native Ireland and the U.K.

However, the Picture Of You singer insists the pressure of pop stardom meant that unlike his modern day counterparts, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, he didn't take advantage of his fame to enjoy himself.

"I was 16 and I should have been climbing trees and riding my bike, but I was flying first-class to Hong Kong - and I was expected to know what I was doing there," he tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.

Ronan Keating cried at his wedding.

The 'Life is A Rollercoaster' hitmaker has revealed he couldn't help but break into tears when he saw his bride, TV producer Storm Uechtritz, walk up the aisle at their wedding earlier this month, which also prompted her to start crying.

He explained: ''I went to turn around but my lip was already trembling and I knew I couldn't turn without crumbling, so I waited until she was beside me. Then I turned to face her and she was so beautiful it was overwhelming. I couldn't help but cry.
