Veteran British pop star Boy George is constantly having to convince fans he really is the Culture Club frontman after losing his trademark falsetto due to age.

The flamboyant Karma Chameleon singer became famed for hitting the high notes during the 1980s, but three decades later, he admits his vocals have drastically changed, and it has caused some fans to question his true identity.

He tells America's Details magazine, "It (falsetto) is gone. I'm 52 - I can't be the same as when I was 20. So I'm rebuilding my career. A lot of people have never f**king heard of me. Or they say, 'Yeah, but you're not that Boy George.' People say that to me all the time."
