Boy George regrets speaking openly about his romance with Culture Club drummer JON MOSS - insisting they could have maintained a "healthy" relationship if he had kept quiet.
The outspoken singer embarked on a relationship with Moss during the band's 1980s heyday, only for the percussionist to later marry a woman and have three children.
The singer lashed out at Moss in his tell-all book, Take It Like A Man, insisting his lover was ashamed of their relationship - a claim Moss vehemently denied.
And Boy George - real name George O'Dowd - admits he wishes he had remained silent about his time with Moss.
He tells Britain's Daily Mail, "I've realised that, actually, some things are my own business. I don't have to put everything in the public domain. I've learned the hard way that some things are private, and I'm probably going to save myself a lot of heartache.
"Had I known that years ago, and not been such a foghorn about it, I probably could have had a healthy relationship with Jon. You learn over the years that some things are sacred, and that's why I'm glad I have a decent relationship with Jon now, otherwise it would rubbish everything we had."
But O'Dowd insists his relationship with Moss has greatly improved in recent years: "We do love each other, but it's not like a sexual love or desire love. I care about him and would be really sad if anything happened to him, and I'm glad he's in my life. I wouldn't have said that ten years ago."
