Scottish rocker Bobby Gillespie is frustrated his outspoken political views will never have any serious impact on the government. The PRIMAL SCREAM star, whose anti-war song BOMB THE PENTAGON was a scathing attack on the US President George W Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair's involvement in the Iraq conflict, insists music will never prompt political change. Nevertheless, he is determined not to be silenced by current world affairs and will continue singing his complaints. He says, "The whole 9/11 thing was the ultimate spectacle. To pull the wool over people's eyes and get the green light for America to go to war with the world. "As a musician, you can't go against it very far. Because no musician's ever toppled a government. But I still have my point of view."
