Bob Hope's former home in Toluca Lake, California has been put on the market for $21.8 million (£12.4 million).

The eight-bedroom estate was originally built in 1939 and designed by architect Robert Finkelhor and later remodelled in the 1950s by John Elgin Woolf.

The sprawling property covers 3.9 acres, and includes nine bathrooms, staff quarters and offices, a one-hole golf course, both indoor and outdoor pools, a guest house and gardens.

The veteran entertainer died in 2003, aged 100, and his widow, Dolores, passed away in 2011.
