Bob Geldof has adopted a strict "low-carb" diet to get in shape ahead of The Boomtown Rats' upcoming comeback.

The I Don't Like Mondays hitmakers will reunite for the first time in 26 years to play the U.K.'s Isle of Wight Festival in June (13), and they are all changing their eating habits so they look good on stage.

Geldof reveals the musicians are even cutting out carbohydrates to help them slim down.

In an interview with Absolute Radio's Martyn Lee on the station's Absolute 80s show, he says, "In order to play we have to intensely rehearse to be the band we were... In terms of being match fit, we are all on a rigid low carb diet. There is no point waddling out on b**ody stage at the Isle of Wight, we are going to look like sexy beasts, I can assure you."
