Carolina Herrera's wardrobe staple is a white blouse because it goes with everything and lights up the face.
The designer is famous for her beautiful gowns which have been worn by a host of celebrities including Renée Zellweger, Amy Adams and Tina Fey and also designed the wedding dress for the 'Twilight Saga's Bella Swan but Caroline takes a more laid back approach to clothes herself.
She explained to aarp.org: ''I love them and I've worn them all my life. They are my security blanket, as they say. They make me feel secure, and I can match them up with anything. As a child, I wore white blouses to school, and I remember them always being ready and perfectly ironed.
